Herat’s Oba district falls to Taliban

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): The Taliban have captured the Oba district of western Herat province, an official said on Friday, a well-placed security said on Friday.

Injured security personnel under the Taliban siege have been evacuated to a secured place.

A security source wishing not to be named said last night security forces have conducted operation in  the Oba district and evacuated 120 military personnel with 65 inured personnel from the Taliban siege.

After the evacuation the district completely felt to the Taliban. As a result of fire fight between the Taliban and security personnel one security man was killed and another injured.

Governor Spokesperson Jailani Farhad did not speak about the all of Oba district to the Taliban.
