KABUL (Pajhwok): Four Czech soldiers have been charged for their part in the death of an Afghan fighter, Radio Prague reported on Monday.
The Afghan militant had ginned down a Czech dog handler named Tomáš Procházka in 2018, the radio quoted the weekly Respekt as reporting.
The four are members of a Czech Army elite special forces group. Two have been charged with the use of violence and disobeying orders.
The other two face allegations of failing to provide assistance and breaching service rules, according to the weekly.
Identified as Vahidullah Chan, the fighter was not injured before being interrogated by Czech soldiers. However, he showed signs of being beaten after he was handed over to US troops.
