Accelerate supplies to security forces: Ghani

KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani has stressed the need to step up supplies to the security and defence forces of the country.

President Ghani chaired a high-level security meeting in Presidential Palace on Tuesday evening, his office said in a statement.

President Ghani, the supreme commander of the security forces, listened to security reports from across the country presented by the officials of the securing and defence organs, the statement said.

Ghani praised and appreciated the bravery of the Afghan forces in fighting the enemy and stressed that supplies to these forces should be accelerated throughout the country.

He instructed the officials concerned to increase coordination in direction and management of the security and defence forces.
