KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): At least five people have been killed and 18 others injured as a result of a bomb blast that hit a passenger vehicle in southern Kandahar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Jamal Nasir Barakzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the passenger bus from Nahr-i-Saraj company struck a roadside bomb in the Gach Garez area of Maiwand district at 9:00pm.
He said five passengers, including women and children, were killed and 18 others wounded. He blamed the Taliban insurgents for emplacing the landmines.
According to Barakzai, the injured evacuated to the Mirwais Hospital . . .
