HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Breshana Shirkat (DABS) officials have expressed concern over the destruction of pylons by militants in western Herat province.
Last year, militants nine times attempted to blow up pylons and cables bringing electricity from Turkmenistan and Iran in the Ghoryan, Kahsan, Kashk and Rabat-e-Sangi districts.
Herat DABS head Samim Safi said one month earlier the Taliban blew up a pylon importing electricity from Iran in the Kamana village of Ghoryan district due to which electricity was suspended to over 60 percent people for five days in the province.
