KABUL (Pajhwok): A meeting of the High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR) on Wednesday called on all sections of the society to stay united and fulfill their responsibilities in a unified manner.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said President Ashraf Ghani chaired the HCNR meeting, in which chairman Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, political and jihadi figures and representatives of women, clerics, media and civil society were present.
The meeting appreciated the efforts of security and defense forces and stressed that in the current situation, all sections of the society should stand united and fulfill their responsibilities with one voice.
Referring to the uprisings in different provinces against the Taliban, the meeting emphasized on coherence and their better management within the framework of state sovereignty with support of the republic and the country's security and defense forces,
