TALOQAN (Pajhwok) A Wolesi Jirga member has been injured in a clash between the security forces and Taliban in northern Takhar province, an official said on Monday.
Police spokesman Khalil Aseer told Pajhwok Afghan News the clash erupted in the Farkhar district of the province late on Sunday.
He said Wolesi Jirga member, Abdullah Bek was injured in the firefight. With his hand slightly wounded, the MP is in stable condition.
The Taliban have said nothing so far in this regard. The security environment is fast deteriorating across the country.
