LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Some residents and civil society activists of southern Helmand province claim Iran is striving to devastate Afghanistan’s water reservoirs.
In a protest huddle here on Monday, they alleged Iran was trying to devastate water storages and dams in Afghanistan.
AmanullahHasrat, head of the civil societies union, said Iran and Pakistan were interfering in Afghanistan’s domestic affairs and wanted to destroy infrastructure and dams.
He alleged Iran was persecuting Afghan refugees there and murdered them under different pretexts.
Paiwand Civil Society Organization Head BarakatullahSarsham condemned subversive activities of Pakistan and Iran and said they interfered in Afghanistan’s internal matters in the broad daylight.
A tribal Elder Najibullah Khan said the Taliban had imposed war in Afghanistan on the directives of foreign nations, asking them to consider Afghanistan’s interest supreme.
