KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kabul Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) on Monday said if the government did not wrest back control of the country's ports soon, many factories would close down due to lack of raw materials.
Mohammad Karim Azimi, executive director of the Kabul Chamber of Industries and Mines, made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the United Nations Partnership Exhibition organized by the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He said most of the country's ports had recently been taken over by armed Taliban, with the government losing 30 million US dollars a day.
