KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday traveled to Iran at the head of a high-level delegation to attend the Iranian President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi’s. inauguration ceremony.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said Ghani would participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Raisi as new president of the neighbouring country on today.
The president would also meet Raisi on further strengthening relations between the two countries, the statement added.
Ghani is accompanied by his 2nd Vice-President Sarwar Danish, Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar and Director- General of the president’s office Abdul Matin Baig.
