GARDEZ (Pajhwok): At least 12 people were killed and two others wounded when a roadside bomb tore through their vehicle in the Sayed Karam district of southeastern Paktia province on Saturday.
In a statement, the Paktia police headquarters said the blast took place in Chino village of Sayed Karam district.
It said the Taliban-planted landmine was hit by a Saracha type vehicle, killing 12 individuals, including women and children, from the same family and injuring two more.
Six children, three women and three men were among the dead, the statement added.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
