PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Militants have killed a tribal elder in central logar province, a public representative said on Wednesday.
Provincial Council Head HaseebullahStanikzai told Pajhwok Afghan News militants killed the Sangarkhel tribe elder MuhabatullahGulzai in the Zahidabad locality of Mohammad Agha district on Wednesday morning.
He said Gulzai was a strong tribal elder who was killed by the enemy of the country.
Governor Spokesperson DidarLawang also confirmed the killing of Mohabatullah Gulzai.
“Gulzai was a strong and educated young man. He led his tribe and was killed by the Taliban,” he said.
Ahmad Shah, a resident of Sangarkhelo tribe, said Gulzai was their leader and he had no enmity with anyone.
Separately, a civilian was killed in unidentified gunmen attack in Jalalabad City, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province.
