KABUL (Pajhwok): The Taliban have seized control of the capitals of Kandahar, Badghis, Ghor and Helmand provinces, sources said on Friday.
Badghis provincial council chairman Abdul Aziz Bek told Pajhwok Afghan News the governor, police chief, NDS director and other officials moved to the Afghan National Army (ANA) brigade late on Thursday.
He said only the brigade wais now under government control in the province and other areas had been captured by the Taliban. The brigade is located about one kilometer from Qala-i-Naw, the capital of Badghis.
