KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan delegation’s trip to Doha has been postponed due to non-availability of commercial flights, the High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR) said on Monday.

HCNR Spokesperson FaridonKhawazon said the trip of Afghan negotiators to Doha did not happen due to the non-availability of commercial flights.

The Taliban also said they would talk to some Afghan politicians regarding a political system in the country and a Taliban delegation would go to Doha for this purpose.

Taliban Spokesperson Dr. Naeem said they were also desperate to initiate negotiation about Afghanistan’s future political system.

Former President Hamid Karzai said he would travel to Doha to hold discussion with the Taliban on the future of Afghanistan.

Karzai said Khalilzad telephoned him and asked him to come to Doha to hold talks with the Taliban.

It is worth mentioning that the UN Security Council has called an emergency meeting on Afghanistan on Monday.
