3 killed, 10 wounded in Kabul airstrikes

KABUL (Pajhwok): Three people have been killed and 10 others wounded in in firing from US helicopters in Deh-Sabz district of Kabul, residents said on Tuesday.

Malik Ismail, a resident of Kata Khel area of DehSabz district, told Pajhwok Afghan News that residents were targeted in the airstrikes.

He said three people, including a child, were killed and 10 others were injured in the attack.

“It was around 3:30pm when American helicopters came and shot our shop, killing and injuring people sitting there,” he added. He said gas cylinders and fuel barrels also caught fire that gutted his shop.

A resident of the same district, Sharifullah, said he was on his way home from the SarkhiPul bazaar when his car came under attack from helicopters.

“I was driving, unaware the helicopters would fire at my car, I and my friend were injured in the fire,” he added.

Another injured man, Ahmad Zahid, said, he was shot from the helicopters. He was shot in the abdomen.

Some residents of DehSabz district said airstrikes happened in several other places in DehSabz district, killing and wounding people.
