UN is with you, Guterres tells Afghans

KABUL (Pajhwok): UN secretary general António Guterres on Friday said the world’s body was committed to staying with the people of Afghanistan during the trying period.

“I want to extend a special message to the people of Afghanistan during this trying time: (The UN) is with you and committed to staying and delivering, helping to advance peace, opportunity and human rights for all.”

Meanwhile, NATO said foreign ministers of member states would meet via a video conference to discuss the latest developments in Afghanistan.
