KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Taliban education sector officials in northern Kunduz province say that girls are allowed to study from 1st class up to higher education.
Maulvi Ismael, director of education department, told Pajhwok Afghan News no barrier existed against female education. “The girls can graduate from high school and university.”
He said they had asked all the teachers and principals of the schools to resume lessons.
Hafiz Kakar, urban education in charge, said schools had resumed and classes underway normally for the past few days.
Bibi Nasima, a student of Bibi Amina high school, said she was attending her classes at the school for the past two days and faced no problem.
