KABUL (Pajhwok): Abdullah Abdullah, head of the High Council for National Reconciliation of the previous government, on Tuesday said he discussed peace and stability in Afghanistan and people’s participation in the government with Turkish and German foreign ministers.
Abdullah wrote on his Facebook page that he had telephonic conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on the latest situation in Afghanistan.
He added that they discussed the principle of peace and stability in the country, people’s participation in government and Afghanistan’s relations with the world.
The Taliban captured Kabul on Aug 15 and now they control the entire country except central Panjshir province.
Taliban officials have been in talks with other Afghan politicians (Hezb-e-Islami leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, former President Hamid Karzai, Dr. Abdullah and others) about forming a coalition government in Afghanistan.
