Afghanistan registers 62 Covid-19 cases, 7 deaths

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan recorded 62 new positive coronavirus cases and seven deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Tuesday.

Of the new cases, 10 registered in Badakhshan, eight in Kabul, seven in Nuristan, six in Ghor, five each in Kandahar, Kunduz, Badghis, four each in Nimroz, Balkh, three each in Nangarhar, Takhar and two in Paktia province.

According to the MoPH 531 patients have recovered taking the number of total recovered people to 109,009 in the country.

Seven patients died from the virus that brings the total number of fatalities from the respiratory disease to 7,090 in the country.
