TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): The police chief for central Uruzgan province on Tuesday said the process of clearing landmines in the province would be launched soon.
Maulvi Bashir told media persons the people of the province would no longer face security problems, claiming to have made important plans to ensure security in Tirinkot and other areas.
He said former government employees of all departments in Uruzgan could return to work without any fear.
He said the Taliban had also taken necessary steps to prevent government vehicles from plying in Tirinkot, firing in the air and causing chaos.
