KABUL (Pajhwok): A Ministry of Public Health doctor and two journalist brothers have been killed in Thursday’s attacks at the Hamid Karzai International Airport.
More than 100 people, including 13 US service members and 22 Taliban fighters, were killed in the massive explosions.
A doctor of the MoPH and two journalists were among the dead. Mujtaba Ahmadi and Ali Reza Ahmadi, who worked for the Afghanistan-i-Ma newspaper and the Raha News Agency, were among the victims.
The brothers, residents of central Daikundi province, worked for the Afghan Voice Agency. AVA leader Sayed Hassan Hussaini confirmed the killing of the two brothers in the blasts.
In a statement, MoPH said that Dr. Khalid Raheen, associated with the National Tuberculosis Programme, also died in the attacks.
