Gunmen kill pregnant ex-policewoman in Ghor

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead a female police officer in eastern Ghor province last night, a relative said on Sunday.

A family member of the policewoman, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News that unidentified gunmen killed the woman despite being pregnant after searching her house.

He added that the gunmen killed Nigar because she had previously served in the police force.

Meanwhile, Maulvi Naik Mohammad, head of the Islamic Emirate's military commission for Ghor province, said they had arrested some people in connection with the woman's murder.

He added that investigations are underway.

According to Nigar's family, she had been working for the police in Ghor for the last seven years. According to them, Nigar was only responsible for searching part of the women's prison in Ghor province.
