KABUL (Pajhwok): There is no impediment to the creation of a new government in Afghanistan, a member of Taliban’s cultural commission said on Sunday.
A private TV channel quoted Anaamullah Samangani as saying that after the exit of foreign troops, hurdles to announcing a future government had been cleared.
He told TOLOnews: “Now we live in a completely independent Afghanistan. The new government will be announced very soon.”
Without going into details, Samangani promised the new set-up would be inclusive and representative of all people.
A day earlier, Pakistan’s spymaster Lt Gen. Faiz Hamid arrived in Kabul at the head of a high-level delegation comprised of senior officials.
In meetings with Taliban leaders, the ISI chief assured them of all possible cooperation and support.
