TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Resident of Chinarto district of central Uruzgan province say it would take years to investigate and decide judicial cases in the past, but recently the problem has been resolved.

Judges and prosecutors in the former government in Uruzgan would not be able travel to districts due to insecurity and road closure, so investigation of cases there would need long time.

But residents of Chinarto district say the problem has been largely resolved with the advent of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Syed Karim, a resident of the district, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Taliban were investigating cases in a timely manner and had stopped the bribery culture.

Khairullah, another resident of the district, told Pajhwok that people were now able to access the judiciary more easily than before.

“It used to be very difficult to see a judge and a prosecutor, but now it is  very easy to see them,” he said.

A number of other residents of the district also expressed similar views.

Mufti Aminullah Raji, in charge of appellant court of Chinarto district told Pajhwok that they were investigating, among other cases, judicial and legal cases that had not been investigated during the previous government.

“We are trying to increase the number of judicial institutions and judges so that all the problems of the people can be solved in time,” he said.
