KABUL (Pajhwok): The Taliban handed over $12 million they recovered from residencies of former Afghan officials to the Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), a well-placed source said on Wednesday.
According to the DAB source, besides millions of dollars, some gold and precious metals were also recovered from their residences, which were handed over the bank.
Out of the total amount, 4.6 million and some gold bricks were recovered from the residence of former vice president AmrullahSaleh.
The source did not reveal from whom the remaining amount was recovered.
