KABUL (Pajhwok): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will take a final decision on whether or not to continue infrastructure investments in Afghanistan.
According to online news magazine, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari as said Modi decide on whether or not India would continue to invest in Afghanistan’s infrastructure projects.
“We have built a dam (Salma dam) … we have worked in areas of water resources in Afghanistan,” he said, adding the two sides had also held talks on building some roads in the war-hit country.
“It’s good that I did not start the construction of roads (in Afghanistan) … the situation there is of concern,” Outlook India quoted the minister as saying.”
While many infrastructure projects in that country had been implemented by India, some were yet to be completed, explained Gadkari.
