Girls to school, women to return to work soon: Mujahid

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Information and Culture on Tuesday said that the government was preparing a policy for safety of female students of high school and women workers would soon return to their jobs.

Currently girls of only primary schools are allowed to attend their classes while female students of high schools are ordered to wait until their schools are reopened.

Deputy information and culture minister, ZabihullahMujahid told a press conference here that the education ministry was working hard on reopening of schools and making a policy for girl students of high schools.

Efforts are on for making a policy for students and it is expected that it would complete in the near future, he added.

“There is serious work underway for making rules and regulations for security of girls and the education environment, everything will return to normal soon, God willing,” he said.

About women workers, he said, “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is responsible to be accountable to all classes of people. The government changed, an Islamic system came and Islamic issues are now important, once the security for women was ensured, they would also return to their jobs and problems would solve soon.”

He added that women would be also employed in the government and people would be informed through media.
