FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Local officials on Sunday said four people including two kidnappers and two traders were killed in a clash with Taliban soldiers in western Ghor province.
Mohammad Sadiq Rasas, deputy intelligence chief for Ghor province, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in Firozkoh city, capital of Ghor on Saturday night.
“The kidnappers captured two traders from Hazara community, when they informed about the arrival of Mujahidin (soldiers) to the area, they killed both the traders and then engaged with a clash with Mujahidin, fortunately two of them were killed but three others escaped,” he said.
Rasas said that the kidnappers had recently released from prison and they previously were in contact with Daesh or Islamic State (IS) militants.
