KANDAHAR (Pjhwok): Save The Children organization chief says they will extend their services to areas where they had no access to due the conflict in southern Kandahar province.
Christopher Nyamandi met with Kandahar governor Mohammad Yousaf Wafa and other officials during his visit to Kandahar city.
He said their organization has been working in Afghanistan since 1976 in areas of health, education, natural disaster, children nutrition and protection of children.
He said they planned to expand their activities and reach to areas where they had no access in the past.
Nyamandi said his visit to Kandahar was aimed at reviewing the organization activities and to know which areas needed assistance the most.
He informed they would increase their services in Kandahar city and remote districts.
Governor Wafa said since taking control of the country by the Taliban, there was security everywhere and international organizations could continue their activities in Afghanistan without any fear.
He said due to the prolonged conflict, remote areas were deprived of services and now these areas should be given a priority.
