KABUL (Pajhwok): Qatar’s special envoy for counterterrorism and conflict resolution during his meeting with Afghan foreign minister said that the world should not ignore security and current realities in Afghanistan.
Abdul QaharBalkhi, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that acting foreign minister, Mulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Qatar’s special envoy for counterterrorism and conflict resolution, Dr. MutlaqAlqahtani and his delegation in Kabul on Tuesday.
In a tweet, he said that Muttaqi and Alqahtani stressed open movement of Afghan passengers to the gulf country as well as world’s good relations with Afghanistan.
However, he did not provide details about Afghan passengers open travel.
The source said that Qahtani emphasized the world should not ignore good security and current realities in Afghanistan.
Alqahtani and Qatari foreign minister made multiple trips to Kabul during and after the fall of Ashraf Ghani government.
