ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Local officials on Thursday said 500 rapid learning centers funded by UNICEF are being opened in rural areas of eastern Kunar province.
MohibullahHaidari, Kunar education director talking to a meeting on Thursday said that 400 village classes and 100 rapid learning centers financed by UNICEF would be opened in the province.
These centers would be opened in Watapor, Manogi, Chapa Dara, Shigal, Asmar, Shiltan, Marwara and KhasKunar districts of Kunar province, where thousands of students would get education, he said.
“We need 1,200 teachers, UNICEF promised to hire 150 of them and also provide potable water facility . . .
