KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Foreign Minister Ameer Khan Mutaqi has said a new chapter of relationship with the world has been opened and Afghanistan would be never sacrificed for the rivalry of others.
He said Afghanistan respected the legitimate interest of other nations and hoped reciprocal approach from other.
He expressed the view during a meeting with ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries in Kabul.
“We want to begin a new chapter of relationship with foreign nations and good governance within the country. We fully respect the legitimate interest of foreign nations and expect the world community to do the same,” he said.
“Throughout the history Afghanistan played vital role in connecting civilizations. We can play similar role of economic connectivity in 21st century.”
Muttaqi said they strive hard to paly effective role in economic connectivity implement mega projects such as TAPI, CASA-1000 and other projects.
Muttaqi thanked governments that helped Afghanistan with humanitarian and uplift schemes in the past and at this stage.
