KABUL (Pajhwok): Five cyclists on Sunday left Kabul for five provinces they will visit while cycling to spread the message of peace and security nationwide.
Nazar Mohammad Mutmaeen, head of the Afghanistan Olympic Committee, during a farewell event said cyclists will visit Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Paktika, Paktia and Logar provinces.
He said: “Our people witnessed 40-years of war and conflict and now it is the time to bring happiness on their faces and for this purpose we are committed to organizing sports events nationwide and cycling is part of this programme.”
Mutmaeen said the Olympic Committee fully supported athletes . . .
