KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate’s political office spokesman in Qatar has rejected the rumors that security forces had summoned interpreters who had worked with foreigners.
This comes after the Dutch television network NOS reported that the Taliban government in Afghanistan had filed lawsuits against families who had previously worked with foreign forces.
The source wrote that the families of the translators, had been summoned by the Taliban to appear in court.
According to the report, Taliban warned those people who worked with foreigners but refuse to appear in court that they would be severely punished.
However, Taliban spokesman in Doha, Dr. Mohammad Naeem tweeted: “The rumors are false that the Taliban want those worked for foreigners to appear before court.”
Naeem wrote that they rejected such reports, saying these issues did not exist at all.
