KABUL (Pajhwok): After around a two-month delay, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Tuesday said that it would resume distribution of electronic identity cards and passports.
Qari Sayeed Khostai, spokesman for the ministry, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Council of Ministers on Monday decided to resume distribution of e-ID cards and passports from today, Tuesday.
When asked about any changes made in the services by the new administration, he said that more details about on the regard would be released later.
Distribution of e-ID cards and passports stopped after the collapse of Ashraf Ghani’s administration on August 15.
