KABUL (Pajhwok): Pakistan's ambassador to Kabul on Saturday said his country sent another 16 trucks carrying food and non-food items to Afghanistan for distribution among needy families.
Mansoor Ahmad Khan wrote on his Twitter account that the aid was handed over to Minister of Refugees and Repatriation Khalil-ur-Rehman Haqqani to be distributed to needy families.
On the other hand, people insist that such aid should be distributed to deserving families.
Khesrao, a member of a displaced family from Kunduz in Kabul, said many countries had already provided food and non-food items but the aid did not reach those in need.
"There are many families here, but so far the government has not provided us with any special assistance. I hope the aid will be distributed to the deserving people," he said.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan has already provided food and non-food items to needy families in other provinces besides Kabul.
