Mirwais Ashraf appointed cricket board chief

KABUL (Pajhwok): Former national team member Mirwais Ashraf has been appointed as head of the Afghanistan cricket board, replacing Azizullah Fazli, an official said on Saturday.

An official of the cricket board told Pajhwok Afghan News former player of the national side Ashraf, who had been recently appointed as head of the selection committee, has been appointed as the board director.

Mirwais Ashraf was formally introduced as head of the board today, Saturday, he said.

Azizullah Fazli replaced Farhan Yousafzai as head of the cricket board after the Taliban’s takeover.
