SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Civil society activists in northern Jawzjan province have been told to continue their activities without posing challenges and affecting the daily life and activities.
Jawzjan Governor Office Chief of Staff Qari Zabihullah Hussaini during a meeting with civil society activists assured support for their activities that did not pose challenges to others.
He said there was no on civil activities --- cultural, art, literature and others --- but their activities should not be against Islamic teachings and rituals.
Abdul MatinSadeed, a civil society activist, said: “We want higher authorities to allow us to work. Among civil society activists, there are competent persons who could contribute to society through their positive activities.”
“We need positive activities from youth and civil society activists and we believe that such activities are vital for society,” he said.
“We promise that we support your activities and will not allow anyone to harm you,” vowed Hussaini.
