KABUL (Pajhwok): A journalist was killed and two others, including Arzasht Radio News Manager Abdul Raziq, have been wounded in a bomb blast in Kabul.
The explosion took place in the Dasht-i-Barchi locality of the capital in limits of the 18th police district late on Saturday.
Interior Ministry spokesperson Qari Saeed Khosti said the blast was caused by a fire that erupted on a minibus, resulting in the killing of one civilian and injuries to two others.
Meanwhile, Ariana Television worker Fawzia Wahdat wrote on her Facebook page that her husband Hameed Saighani was killed in Saturday’s blast.
According to other sources, Abdul Raziq, news manager at Radio Arzasht, was injured in the explosion.
Referring to a Pajhwok report regarding Saighani’s killing and injuries to Abdul Raziq, Qari Saeed said: “Yes, there are reports that they were travelling in the minibus when the blast took place.”
