PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) president has urged the government to take stakeholders into confidence before the signing a fresh Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA).
Hasnain Khurshid issued the call at a meeting with the 8th Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC-8) officials of the Kashmir Institute of Management at the SCCI House.
Other business community members were also present at the meeting here on Tuesday, said a press release from SCCI.
Issues related to government subordinate institutions and bodies, especially tax collecting authorities, customs and border management, came under discussion.
Khurshid stressed the need for boosting trade with Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics that would help stabilise the national economy as well as create employment opportunities.
