KABUL (Pajhwok): China could play an important role in Afghanistan’s reconstruction, believes the acting Taliban foreign minister.
Amir Khan Muttaqi said the interim Afghan government was in contact with senior Chinese officials. The two sides would work together to further bolster their cooperative relations, he vowed.
Speaking exclusively to the China Media Group (CMG), the minister hoped that Afghanistan and China could boost their trade ties.
Earlier in the month, in its first export to China since mid-August, Afghanistan dispatched 45 tonnes of pine nuts to Shanghai.
During the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE), about 26 tonnes of Afghan pine nuts were sold within two hours in a live streaming session.
