KABUL (Pajhwok): Led by acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, a high level delegation will leave for the Qatari capital Doha this week for talks with US representatives and officials from European and other nations, an official said on Wednesday.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi said the delegation led by Muttaqi will leave for Doha on Saturday (Nov 27) and will stay there until November 29. The delegation will hold talks with US and European officials.

He said topics including political issues, Afghanistan’s frozen assets, humanitarian assistance, education, health, security of diplomatic missions in Kabul and their reopening would be discussed during the talks.

The Afghan delegation would comprise representatives of education, health, finance, intelligence and central bank.

The United States has also announced it would resume talks with Taliban officials in Doha and the American delegation will be led by the US special representative for Afghanistan, Thomas West.
