SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has distributed cash assistance among 1,200 vulnerable families in northern Jawzjan province, an official said on Monday.
Mullah Mohammad Sardar Khaliqyar, a representative of the governor office, said each family was provided with $256 by the UNHCR.
He added individuals who benefited from the aid were families displaced by conflict and currently lived in Shiberghan, the provincial capital.
A survey was earlier conducted for distribution of cash assistance and more vulnerable families would be also given the aid in future.
Khirullah, one of the displaced persons, told Pajhwok Afghan News . . .
