District damin, police chiefs detained in murder case

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): The administrative chief and police chief of Khadir district in central Daikundi province have been arrested in a murder cases, an official said on Friday.

Daikundi Governor Chief of Staff Mawlavi Khalil told Pajhwok Afghan News victim’s brother Khan Mohammad complained against the missing of his brother and the governor office tasked intelligence official to investigate the case.

Mohammad Ali, 33, two and a half months earlier referred to Khadir District to resolve a legal case but he was detained by district police chief and then went missing.

According to Mawlavi Khalil the murder happened mysteriously but he did not provide more detail from where the body of Mohammad Ali was recovered and how he was killed.

He said during initial probe administrative chief and police chief of Khaider district acknowledged that Mohammad Ali was in their custody.

He pledged that detained officials will be treated according to Sharia law.
