300 evacuated from Afghanistan, says France

KABUL (Pajhwok): France has announced evacuating more than 300 individuals, including 258 Afghan citizens, from Afghanistan.

The evacuees also included 11 French, some 60 Dutch nationals and an unspecified number of people linked to them, the foreign ministry in Paris said.

A spokeswoman for the ministry said in a statement on Friday the evacuation operation was conducted with help from Qatar.

At least 110 French people and 396 Afghans have been evacuated from Afghanistan on 10 flights since September 10, the statement added.
