PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan has renewed its call for international engagement with Afghanistan to ensure stability there.
Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi issued the call at a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels.
Peace and stability in Afghanistan was important for Pakistan, said Qureshi, who exchanged views with Stoltenberg on regional situation.
The Associated Press of Pakistan reported the two sides agreed to work together for promoting Pakistan-NATO relations and \remain engaged on issues of mutual interest.
Qureshi believed regular high-level political and military engagements had contributed towards strengthening bilateral cooperation and partnership.
Referring to two decades of Pakistan-NATO cooperation in Afghanistan, he underlined the importance of continued collaboration to tackle the threat of terrorism.
