PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Taliban’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi will brief Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states on the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.
More than 90 foreign delegates have already arrived in Islamabad to attend the extraordinary session of the major Islamic bloc on Afghanistan.
Muttaqi, who landed in Pakistan’s capital at the head of a high-level delegation, was accorded a warm welcome by Minister of State Ali Muhammad Khan.
The Associated Press of Pakistan quoted the diplomat as saying the meeting would provide an opportunity to the delegates to know the ground situation in Afghanistan.
The 17th extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, scheduled for Sunday, will discuss ways of helping Afghanistan out of the current economic and humanitarian crises.
