FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): A 35-year-old man, Mohammad DaudHaqyar, who has been enfaged in resolving social disputes, says the Afghans should forget the past and work together for a prosperous Afghanistan.
Haqyar is a resident of Dokin village in Pashroad district of Farah province. He is about 35 years old and currently lives with his family in Farah city, the provincial capital.
He is still young man and he has made significant efforts to resolve problems and disputes between people and families in his province.
In addition to resolving family disputes, he has set up a tent in Farah city for nearly three years ago advocating for peace in the country amid intense conflicts.
Young people, tribal elders and others would come to the tent and Haqyar would give a message of peace and talk to them about the consequences of violence and war.
Haqyar mentioned two examples of the social conflicts he has resolved.
He said that one of disputes was between two groups of youths in ChaharBurjak village of Poshroad district and their case had been referred to police, but he mediated when the youths were detained in police headquarters and happily settled the problem.
He also said that another dispute was between two families in Saaj village of Poshroad district which he mediated and resolved peacefully.
Locals say Haqyar is a graduate of Pashto literature and he usually involves in solving social problems in Farah province.
Abdul KhaliqFarahi, a resident of the province, told Pajhwok that Haqyar was a leading youth of the province in making peace among people.
If other young people like Haqyar strived for peace in the society, there would be no cases of violence in the province, he added.
Mohammad DaudHaqyar, who is happy over the end of conflicts in the country, said that Afghans should no longer engage in any internal disputes.
According to him, all Afghans should forget the past and work together for a prosperous Afghanistan.
