KABUL (Pajhwok): India and Central Asian nations have decided to continue lending humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
The decision came at the third India-Central Asia Dialogue of foreign ministers in New Delhi on Sunday, says a media report.
The foreign ministers of India, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan agreed Afghanistan’s territory should not be used for terrorist acts.
In a joint statement issued after the meeting, the foreign ministers called for the creation of a truly representative and inclusive government in Afghanistan.
The Asian Age quoted the ministers as pledging immediate humanitarian aid to the Afghans and stressing the need for preserving the rights of Afghan women and children.
According to the newspaper, the ministers condemned terrorism in all its forms, terror financing, arms and drug trafficking
While reaffirming support for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan, they stressed respect for its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
In the context of the current humanitarian situation, they decided to continue providing immediate assistance to the Afghan people.
