PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Afghanistan will be able to overcome the current humanitarian crisis if its funds are unfrozen, believes the Pakistani prime minister.
Imran Khan also took a swipe at the United States for creating the humanitarian crisis affecting millions of Afghans and.
“A man-made crisis is being created despite knowing that it can be averted if Afghanistan’s accounts are unfrozen and liquidity is put into its banking system,” he remarked.
Addressing a ceremony at Foreign Office in Islamabad on Tuesday, Khan opined that resolving the situation in Afghanistan would need a constant struggle.
He also faulted the foreign policy pursued by past Pakistani governments, particularly the decision to join the war on terror. He called the decision a self-inflicted wound.
